About Authority Plane
Authority Plane addresses a structural gap in modern compute systems: the absence of an explicit, independent authorization decision at the point where software-submitted work is accepted for execution by hardware. As heterogeneous and accelerator-driven platforms scale, many existing controls emphasize identity, provisioning, or post-execution visibility while relying on implicit trust at submission time. Authority Plane focuses on compute governance at critical acceptance boundaries, framing execution as a first-class, policy-governed action with defined security requisites such as enforceability, separation of trust, determinism, and auditability. The initiative is oriented toward future compute architectures where execution authorization is a foundational security control rather than an assumed condition.
